The Root of All Evil? is a television documentary, written and presented by Richard Dawkins, in which he argues that the world would be better off without religion.

The documentary was first broadcast in January 2006, in the form of two 45-minute episodes (excluding advertisement breaks), on Channel 4 in the UK.

Dawkins has said that the title "The Root of All Evil?" was not his preferred choice, but that Channel 4 had insisted on it to create controversy. The sole concession from the producers on the title was the addition of the question mark. Dawkins has stated that the notion of anything being the root of all evil is ridiculous. Dawkins's book The God Delusion, released in September 2006, goes on to examine the topics raised in the documentary in greater detail.

je pourrait m'en sortir mais il me faudra 1 peu de concentration et quelques passages au ralenti, mais je n'en ai pas vraiment envie ... je chercherai la soutitrée sur emule , merci quand meme

La suite : The Enemies of Reason

The Enemies of Reason is a two-part television documentary, written and presented by evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins. From the makers:

Is it rational that the dead can communicate with the living and give sound advice on how they should live their lives? What about sticking pins into your body to free the flow of Chi energy and cure your illness? Or the bending of spoons using your mind alone? Is that rational? Richard Dawkins doesn’t think so, and feels it is his duty to expose those areas of belief that exist without scientific proof, yet manage to hold the nation under their spell. He will take on the world’s leading proponents in their field of expertise, meet the victims who have used them and expose the history of the movements – from the charlatans who have milked these practices to the experiments and testing that have failed to produce conclusive results.

The documentary was first broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK, styled as a loose successor to Dawkins' documentary of the previous year, The Root of All Evil?, as seen through the incorporation of brief clips from said documentary during the introduction of the first part by Dawkins. The first part aired 13 August 2007 and the second on 20 August 2007.

It includes interviews with Steve Fuller, Deepak Chopra, Satish Kumar, and Derren Brown.

7achéh l'âne. Cette ''illumination'' est de point en point humaine.
Celà étant dis, je vous suggére son livre ''The God Delusion'' (en anglais seulement). Ça dépoussiére le cerveau. Quoique pour certains (la plupart), ce n'est pas juste une question de poussiére... Enfin, bref...
Et n'oubliez pas que c'est un livre à lire loin des regards... de préférence en cachette... vraiment caché... chkoun ya3rif 3alblawette...

La version française paraîtra le 27 mars 2008 sous le titre "Pour en finir avec Dieu" chez Robert Laffont.

Le titre en français s'annonce plus tranchant que l'original..

Le texte original en anglais a été publié en 2006.
